Impact East Africa
Who We Are

About Impact East Africa

Impact East Africa (IEA) is a not-for-profit Company Limited by Guarantee registered on 17th August 2001 and a proud partner of the global Impact Foundations network. The international Impact programme was launched in 1983 by the late Sir John Wilson of the United Kingdom with the blessing of the United Nations General Assembly, guided by the mission “Action Today to Prevent Disability Tomorrow.”

IEA works to improve the quality of life in underserved communities by implementing sustainable disability prevention initiatives, community health outreach programmes, and awareness campaigns. For the past decade, our primary focus has been Kitui County, an ASAL region where we deliver targeted interventions based on community needs identified through baseline surveys.

All activities undertaken by Impact East Africa are charitable, community-driven, and designed to create lasting impact among vulnerable populations in hard-to-reach areas.

Impact East Africa Activities

We implement programs in health, education, and sanitation to improve lives and prevent disability in vulnerable communities.

SHP
School Health Program

We promote healthy learning environments by training teachers and students on basic health practices and establishing school health clubs. Our program includes ear and skin screening, treatment, and deworming initiatives. Since 2016, we have reached over 200 schools and impacted more than 70,000 students and teachers.
